The Budapest Data Forum is the premier vendor-independent conference in Hungary on data management and analytics, now in its 11th year.

Talk topics

For the Data Science CFP we are looking for the following topics:

  • Technical talks on all aspects of data science: data collection, cleansing and preparation, analysis, modeling and visualization
  • Introductory talks to machine learning tools, libraries and frameworks
  • Case studies of data science projects, best practies, lessons learned

Talk Formats

A standard speaking slot will be 30 minutes long and a quick talk will be 15 minutes long (subject to change).

There is also a few free slots for workshops, to be held on the 21th May  (Tuesday). The workshops usually last 2×3 hours including breaks and give a detailed introduction to a specific topic.

The preferred language of the talks is English, but we will consider a limited number of Hungarian talks as well.

What are the perks?

If you get selected as a speaker, here are the benefits

  • Free conference ticket. The selected speakers for full talks receive free registration to both days of the conference (Wednesday & Thursday), and speakers giving a quick talk receive a single-day ticket. Speakers selected for workshops receive an all-inclusive pass.
  • Meals included. All conference meals included in the registration (coffee breaks, lunch, welcome reception)
  • Travel and lodging subsidy. We have a budget for helping great speakers to get to Budapest, if needed.
